The 19th Pollensa Wine Festival will take place on May 7th and 8th 2022 with the project of pleasing even the most demanding of wine buffs with a wide range of wines from Mallorca.
The new Pollensa Wine Festival which will once again take place on the Can Conill car park will be host to a total of 36 wineries from all over the island keen to show off their wines to al the visitors.
Visitors to the upcoming Pollensa Wine Festival will be able to discover from between 275 and 300 wines from Mallorca and also to chat to the onwners of some of the best wineries on the island and buy their favourite wines.
The Son Brull Hotel was the chosen place to announce the newest changes to the next Pollensa Wine Festival with the assistance of Tomeu Cifre, th Mayor of Pollensa, Miquel Llobeta, Councillor for Commerce and Fairs and Josep Bibiloni, President of the Association of Local Wine and the Festival organizer.
During the course of the presentation of the 19th Pollensa Wine Festival, Tomeu Cifre stated "this is the point of return to normality when visitors can taste the new products from the wineries. We continue to back the Festival with support from the Town Hall and also from the Association of Local WIne with the object of publicizing Pollensa in the widest sense, from the primary sector to consumers of wine and the restaurant sector."
The entrance fee to the Festival will cost 15 euros from which 5 will be to buy wine and will include several gifts, such as a wine glass, a bag and a small book with an explanation about the wines available for tasting at the event.
Visitors will be able to walk around the stands in the Pollensa Wine Festival on Saturday May 7th from 10.00 to 20.30 and Sunday May 8th from 10.00 to 14.00.
Among the Mallorca wineries taking part in this long awaited event are Son Prim, Can Ramis, Pere Seda, Vi Rei or Son Puig and other wineries coming to the Festival to present and offer their wines.
For the event this year, the poster for the Wine Festival has been designed by Toni Cabanellas, an artist from Pollensa who was inspired by the existing contrast between the fragility and simplicity of a glass of wine and the explosion of flavours it contains for crating the poster.
