The Festival, included in the Culture Department of the Town Council, is managed by the technical services of the Town Council of Pollença. From 2020, Pere Bonet Bonet has been responsible for the tasks of programming and artistic direction and design and as Coordinator of the Advisory Committee of the Festival from 2024.
Since 2024, the Advisory Commision has been reinstalled with the aim of debating and evaluating the annual programmes and editions. The commission is made up of four experts with musical training and with knowledge and backgrounds that endorse their appointment, including Ms. Mònica Marí, Ms. Isabel Fèlix, Mr. Joan Company and Mr. Joan Campomar.
Between 1558 and 1616, the Dominican friars built a convent and church in Pollença in order to consolidate their presence in the area, after initially settling in the Oratori del Roser Vell. The Baroque-style, basilica-shaped complex includes an arcaded cloister and a church with ten chapels decorated with altarpieces, including the main altar dedicated to the Mare de Déu del Roser (Our Lady of the Roser) by Joan Antoni Oms. After the disentailment in 1833, the building passed into the hands of the Town Hall and has been put to various public uses. Since 1962, its cloister has hosted the prestigious Pollença Music Festival, renowned for its beauty and excellent acoustics.
In the past, the festival has been host to many world famous artists and groups, the London Philharmonic Orchestra, Ravi Shankar and Montserrat Caballé, to name but a few. It has become a must-attend event during the summer, both for visitors and local residents. This attractive event combines the opportunity to enjoy exceptional music and discover the beauty of our wonderful island.
These are the concerts programmed for the 2026 edition of the Festival, including Daniil Trifonov with the Mahler Chamber Orchestra conducted by Daniel Harding, Alban Gerhardt with the Orquestra Simfònica Illes Balears, Quartet Ébène, Freiburger Barockorchester, Seong-Jin Cho, Les Muffatti and the Orquestra de la Comunitat Valenciana conducted by Sir Mark Elder.
In addition, the Festival al Pati spring series includes performances by KamBrass Quintet and soprano Raquel Camarinha with pianist Yoan Héreau.

Pollentia Properties always lends its support to cultural events, especially music, and we especially recommend the Pollença Festival because the amazing venue of the Santo Domingo Cloister makes it a truly wonderful event that you will never forget!
