Pollença is gearing up to celebrate its emblematic Fair on November 8th and 9th. This event, organized every year by the Pollensa Town Hall, is a celebration of local identity and heritage and an opportunity to keep traditions alive and to strengthen community ties.
With origins rooted in the 18th century, the “fira” is when both local residents and hundreds of visitors come together for the festivities, share experiences and pay tribute to Pollença´s rich history.

The Santo Domingo cloisters, the heart of craftwork

The Pollença Fair is much more than just a market. It is an opportunity to submerge ourselves in the most deeply rooted traditions of the area. The Santo Domingo Cloisters is transformed each year into a hive of creativity and a meeting point for the most outstanding craft workers from all over the island. This craft exhibition was established in 1984 and is one of the outstanding features of the Fair. Products on show reflect the diversity of crafts from all over Mallorca.

Visitors will be able to admire and acquire unique objects created by expert hands, such as ceramics, jewelry, textiles or figures carved from wood. The offer is endless and exquisite.
The traditional agricultural exhibition is also present together with the craft fair since agriculture is very important in this area. The Landworkers Cooperative of Pollença have actively collaborated over the last few years with the Town Hall to offer a wide range of activities which aim to include new events each year.
