The property market in Baleares has followed a positive trend during 2021 and according to the INE has increased over 30% in comparison to the previous year, above all in the area of second hand homes. This has meant the end of the worst moments of the pandemic and a recovery of the growth tendency in the volume of properties that have changed hands and their prices. In addition we expect this upward trend to continue during 2022 with the sector benefiting from inflation levels unheard of in the last few decades.
During 2021, the national market (which had already experienced strong growth during 2020) has continued to be an important segment which has increased. The lifting of limits on viewings has also allowed for the recovery of other consolidated markets such as the United Kingdom and Germany. The German market has been outstanding in 2021 and especially for Pollentia Properties and we are very aware of the growing importance of global markets and the need to be sure of offering our properties in several languages.
2021 has been a record year for Pollentia Properties with a volume of transactions 400% above the previous year. An excellent result obtained thanks to investments made in recent years. Thanks to our results in 2021 we are confident regarding the outlook for the property market in Baleares for the next few years.
